Music is the Test

A great way to get the African American Community aware of HIV along with being tested is through a free music concert; which was created as a partnership between Agouron/Pfizer Inc. and Tony Wafford, community advisory board chair. After realizing many people do not go and get tested for HIV a way to insure that more people than usual participate there is a free concert with artist such as Usher, Patti Labelle, Nelly, and Angie Stone for the people who go and get tested along with coming back and receiving their results. Sense the first launch of this project it has been very successful year by year and has increased the number of African Americans who were tested and continues to rise each time this event comes around.
